In our first outing of the semester, returning and new members arrived early, enthusiastic to rekindle friendships with the children they had been paired with last year or make a brand new connection. Fortunately, it wasn’t raining outside, and our members were able to take the children to a nearby park, where they played on the swings, navigated obstacle courses, tried approaching friendly dogs, and sat down to rest together. The children were very active, and our members followed their lead around the playground. Then, we returned to the Orphanage, where we had a Play-Doh activity, inspired by crafting mooncakes for the upcoming Mid-Autumn festival. The students were also able to utilize their creativity and make their own unique designs! Overall, we had a successful day filled with endless laughter, joy, and bright smiles.
